Transition from Active
Duty to the DC Army National Guard
Keep serving with pride—on your terms.
Why
Transition?
As an Active Duty Army Soldier, you already know the unmatched pride of serving your country. The DC Army National Guard makes it easy to continue serving while receiving valuable benefits and increased flexibility in many aspects of your life—your schedule, choosing where you want to live, and more.
Active Duty Army Soldiers or officers who join the DC Army National Guard may also enjoy unique benefits, including MSO reductions and special bonuses based on current rank and Military Occupational Specialty (MOS).
How to Start
the Process
