How to Start

the Process

Enlisted Soldiers:
Work with a Reserve Component Career Counselor (RCCC) up to 180 days before your separation date for a smooth transition with no break in service.
Officers:
Talk to a Silver Siege Reserve Component Transition Officer up to one year before your date of separation for a smooth transition with no break in service. Officers must have no adverse actions against them (e.g., conduct unbecoming of an officer or two-time nonselect).

General

Requirements

Age: Must qualify for non-regular retired pay by age 60.
Physical: Must meet height/weight and current medical requirements.
Education: Must meet education standards for the MOS or option for which you enlist.
Background: Must have most current DD 214, NGB22 or discharge order and have an approved DD Form 368 Conditional Release.
