The DC Army National Guard provides mission-ready personnel and units for active duty in the armed services during times of war or national emergency.
As the only National Guard that reports solely to the President of the United States, we retain our unique role as protectors of the nation’s capital.
With more than 2,700 Soldiers and Airmen, the DC Army National Guard stands ready to serve both community and country. Our members live in the District, Maryland, and Virginia—and are proud to protect where we live.
